Start with the asset and fluid
Record the machine model, compartment, oil product and grade, working volume, operating hours and contamination history. Separate engine oil, hydraulic oil and diesel duties: a system suitable for one is not automatically suitable for another.
- Identify the exact fluid, including any water-based formulation.
- Record normal and cold-start temperatures and viscosity information.
- Confirm available pressure, permitted return location and installation space.
Bypass or offline?
An on-machine bypass circuit treats a side stream while the original full-flow filtration remains in place. An offline circuit has its own pump and can service a reservoir independently of the machine's main circulation. The choice depends on available flow, operating pattern, contamination ingress and access—not tank volume alone.
Define what success means
Agree cleanliness and water targets with the equipment owner and lubricant adviser before selecting hardware. Ask for the configuration's flow at your fluid viscosity, pressure limits, seal compatibility and connection details. Do not use a generic flow figure as a guaranteed cleanup time.
Send a complete selection brief
Use the quotation form with the asset model, fluid, volume, operating conditions and desired outcome. Missing ratings must be confirmed before supply; a catalogue match is not an installation approval.
