Installation · Guidance revision 8 October 2026

A review checklist for the competent installer and equipment owner—not a substitute for the supplied installation manual.

Before work begins

Obtain the manual for the exact supplied unit and the equipment owner's approval. A competent installer must follow site isolation, depressurisation and electrical procedures. Confirm fluid compatibility, mounting, ratings and the intended take-off and return points.

Document the installed configuration

Record unit and cartridge references, hose and valve details, fluid identity, bracket location and access for cartridge removal. Keep the original full-flow filter and OEM maintenance requirements in place.

  • Approved circuit and connection locations
  • Hose protection, support and bend allowances
  • Pressure, temperature and electrical requirements confirmed
  • Safe access, spill control and isolation points
  • Correct element and seal identification

Controlled startup and handover

Use the manufacturer's startup procedure. The competent installer should check the system for leaks and correct operation, record the approved commissioning measurements and brief the operator on inspection and shutdown arrangements. Do not derive torque settings or pressure adjustments from this general checklist.

Set the next review

Assign responsibility for cartridge inspection, sampling and recording. Establish follow-up dates based on duty and contamination conditions rather than assuming a universal cartridge life.
